Q: Pipe Fittings/Junction inquiry

Hello Dears, I have slight confusion in EPANET’s junction layout and pipe fittings, hoping you may assist.

  1. How does EPANET understand pipe fittings (e.g. 90 degree elbow or T-socket). Do I simply add the minor loss coefficient in the effected pipe’s properties? would appreciate any sources to read about this more e.g. if the pipe has multiple fittings along the path, should i simply add the total loss coefficients in the properties?

  2. How to layout junctions for a street containing 15 houses as an example. Should a junction be assigned to each house as shown in the below 2 images to get as detailed of an analysis as possible?
